In an effort to improve earthquake preparedness and protect vital water infrastructure, a major seismic retrofit project was completed on Soos Creek Water and Sewer Districts storage tank number 6.
The District Fuel Station project consisted of the installation of a new above ground skid mounted fueling facility at the District Headquarters to replace the aging underground tank and dispenser. The new station includes storage for 2,000 gallons of diesel fuel and 2,000 gallons of unleaded fuel, along with fuel consumption monitoring cloud software.
Work to replace aging and undersized water mains in the Boulevard Lane neighborhood as part of the District’s annual AC main replacement program is complete.
Ahead of the City of Kent's upcoming roadway and utility project, the District replaced water mains on 98th Avenue S from S 218th Street to S 216th Street.
